School Network
RedEscola is a space for ongoing dialogue among health education institutions in Brazil, in favor of building consensus around a permanent education that values the transformation of professional practices and work organization and that strengthens social control. The Network is committed to a culture of cooperation, favoring the shared construction and circulation of knowledge and the development of skills within the Unified Health System of Brazil (SUS).
The mobilization of the Brazilian Network of Schools of Public Health is the responsibility of the Executive Technical Secretariat, the Driving Group - composed of representatives of 10 Schools - and an Advisory Council - which involves bodies linked to the Ministry of Health. This structure proposes to boost the Network's management processes, following its evolution and suggesting renewal programs.
Comprising 54 Schools, Health Centers and Training Centers, integrating Schools linked to State and Municipal Health Systems and University Centers engaged in these activities in the five regions of the country, the Brazilian Network of Schools of Public Health promotes: (1) Strengthening of linkages and the creation of new links; (2) Different looks on the same phenomenon; (3) The capillarity and dissemination of information; (4) The democratization of information; (5) The disarticulation of the classical pyramid; (6) The handling of relatively uniform products considering the level of autonomy; (7) Reach to heterogeneous places; (8) Respect for local singularities; (9) The feeling of belonging to group work; (10) The strengthening of expertise; (11) Overcoming isolated, fragmented work, spraying efforts and resources for health training.
Mission
To articulate and strengthen schools and training centers in public /collective health, through strategies for the development of policies and actions in the field of Health Education, aiming the production of knowledge and qualification of the workforce within the SUS.
Vision
To be recognized, nationally, as a relevant political actor in the field of Health Education, constituting as a reference for the development of policies for the SUS and production and circulation of knowledge.
